These were the smiling faces going out the door on the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
I left teacher gifts to the last minute, like I always do... OIivia and Austin took jars of gumballs to their teachers that said, "Thanks for a great year, Austin (Olivia) had a ball. Have a wonderful summer!" Thanks to Kristi for the idea!
I could not keep them inside the door- they were SO excited to go out and wait for the bus even though there wasn't one other child out there yet. By the way, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that view behind my kids. That's hole #13 of the golf course behind that mailbox.
When the time finally arrived (not even 2 hours later!) for the kids to come home, Ashley was anxiously awaiting them at the bus stop. After about 20 kids piled out, there was no sign of Austin or Olivia. Then we realized that there was a popsicle party at the church and they must have gotten off at the other bus stop. Smart kids!
I couldn't wait to take their pictures when they walked in the door because both had worn plain shirts and taken a Sharpee for all their friends to sign it. I loved the images of them twisting and turning so they could point out friends' names and phone numbers. I loved seeing "Have a great summer" and "Call me". Austin also got his teacher's email address since she won't be returning to the school next year.
Austin and Olivia both had great teachers this year so our fingers are crossed for next year! I can't believe that Austin will be in 4th grade and Olivia in 2nd... when did that happen?!
Let the Summer Games begin!

Your St. George trip looks like fun. I love that water park. We went there last summer. So fun for the little guys.
