What's wrong with this picture?
Yup, I still can't believe it... I bought running shoes that AREN'T Mizunos. Miracles do happen. I've been wearing Mizunos for so many years I can't remember the last time I bought a different brand. However, with all of the issues I had over the past year and a half, I couldn't help but wonder if some of it was caused by my shoes. I mainly run in Wave Creations, but I have also tried Wave Rider, Wave Nexus, Wave Precision, and Wave Elixir. Over the past year or so, the Mizunos just haven't been pulling through for me. I had IT Band syndrome and then when a nagging on the inside of my left knee started after the St. George Marathon, I thought, "It's time for a change."
I saw these Sauconys and fell in love. Too bad it's not all about aesthetics. I had to try them on and see if they actually fit. I have to admit they are not as cushiony as the Wave Creation I've been wearing. It will take some longer runs to really compare, but so far I love them.
Here we go!

you'll have to let me know how you like them. I've always been a mizuno girl too, but I've also always had IT band problems...
They are very cute -- so are your skinny legs!
very cute!!!
I love my Sauconys but I don't do long runs as you do...hopefully you will find them comfortable to run in. I have 7 yes 7 pairs of Sauconys even though I am not a marathon runner like you - now, what's wrong with this picture?
Good luck on your new shoes!! I know how big of a leap that is. I've always been an Asics girl, but am thinking about branching out to see if the grass is greener….. hmmmm...
