We feel your pain, we celebrate your gain

It felt really good to go to the gym on Saturday. I did a class with Debbie Wilkin (Jared's cousin, Mike's wife). We did "Body Pump" for one hour and boy did I feel it. I felt it during the class, going down the stairs to exit the gym, that night, the next day and the next! It's hard to 'ease' into a gym routine when you haven't worked out for like 4 months. I guess you gotta start somewhere, right? Today I did the treadmill rather than the class. I really had to push it- just to jog 20 minutes. There was a sign on the wall that said, "We feel your pain, we celebrate your gain". It helped me to push on even though I was feeling tired. I know when I exercise that my body and my mind feel a lot better, so it's worth getting up early and it's worth the effort involved. I have to think about how good it will feel to get into my 'skinny' jeans. Right now I am still wearing the baggy ones... you know the ones you wear when you're PMSing or when you're just a few months pregnant? Yeah. I am ready to be OUT of them but I am realistic. I can wait a week. (Just kidding)

The morning class today, that I didn't do, was called "Body Attack" and I wasn't ready to discover what exactly that was quite yet! My body already felt like it had been attacked after the Body Pump class. I did do Body Step yesterday morning, which was a pretty good class. I was there at 5:45 am, if you can believe it. I wasn't excited to get up at that time, however after Ashley's 3:30 feeding I never really got back to sleep... so I guess it didn't matter. I was surprised how packed it was- the room was full- about 50 people or so. I never knew that many people were willing to get up early to exercise. Apparently the world my dad lives in isn't so crazy after all. (I don't think all of them write it in their planners every day, however)

5:45am that's impressive, especially when you've been mentally up since 3:30am. I would have talked myself out of that for sure, but that's no surprise.

I'm glad you have a place you can go to get away from home for a bit and to recharge yourself. It sucks that there's so much soreness after getting back into it, but I'm sure you'll be back into your skinny jeans in no time at all.

i am hoping that reading everyone else's successes will motivate me...how did I turn into the "cheer leader" on the sidelines! Good job on the early morning workouts!

I can't believe you are exercising already. Not a judgement I just never wanted to. No motivation and always tired.

I hear you with the soreness and walking down the stairs. A killer, but I love how it feels. Good to hear you're getting back to a normal routine.
