Last Sunday we went to see Lori's new place and help her decorate her Christmas tree. The kids were SOOO excited to visit her and to get their holiday groove on.
Once we got the tree to stop falling over, we started putting the cute ornaments and ribbon on that Lori had bought in festive colors of chocolate and lime green. I loved it!
Lori did a lot of heavy lifting- the kids kept saying "pick me up!" so that they could put ornaments at the top of the tree. Luckily, my heaviest kid is Austin weighing in about 45 lbs!
We added some aqua blue swirly balls here and there for a little extra flair. I must say Lori's tree looks pretty fancy-shmancy! (Don't mind Ashley's Fraggle Rock hair- just her usual state!)
Jared was very excited to decorate the tree and start the Christmas season. He's just bursting at the seams.... really.... he just hides it well.
The kids got paid for their efforts. SUGAR! We believe in the 4 food groups:
Candy
Candy Canes
Candy Corn
Syrup!

They had Candy Cane Oreos with ice cream and chocolate. They are so spoiled! Then the sugar hit their systems so we had to leave Lori's house before they went crazy. We all had such a fun time and we were so happy to spend the day with Lori. We are so lucky to live close to family and I'm so glad that we take advantage of it! (Lori is about 5 minutes down the road from us)
