SWIM
Every year, our neighbors put on the ProvoTri. Jared got to talking with them about it and decided that he and Austin should do it this year. I have to admit I was a little suprised when Austin quickly replied, "Yeah, I'll do it!" (By the way, if you're admiring his purple swim shorts and wondering what 8 yr old would choose those... it's his swim team color, not his choice)
After the adult triathlon is finished, the kids have a shorter version. First comes the swim- here's Austin waving at Jared from the icy cold water. Apparently, he started out with some freestyle strokes then froze up once the chill of the water hit him. He made it through the 100 yards, however, and hopped onto his bike.
