Surgery?!
Ok, so this morning I had to do a 3 mile run. I was a little bit worried about the aches in my right leg and hip, but I figured if I keep the pace slow it won't be too bad. I warmed up and things were ok but about a mile and a half into it, my hip really hurt. It's kind of been clicking when I move it around, but it felt like I needed to stretch it or pop it and I couldn't. I stopped running and tried to stretch out when it just locked up on me. It hurt so bad! It felt like a charlie horse in my hip. I didn't know what to do about it but the pain would not go away. I tried to put ice on it. My mind was thinking... RICE.. what does that stand for again? rest, elevate, ice and compression. Ok. Well it didn't help. I finally went down to the 4 corners in Saratoga where there is a doctor office. I thought maybe they could tell me what to do or at least give me something for the pain. Oh my gosh it hurt so bad waiting to see the doctor. I wanted to say, "This takes priority over a runny nose!" but I tried to be patient. Finally the doctor took me in and started to move my leg in different directions and asked if it hurt, etc. I told him yes, yes, yes. It really hurts. He walked over to get his prescription pad out and I thought, "Thank goodness!" As he wrote the date on the top of the paper I realized that today is not an ordinary day. That's why this is no ordinary story! Did I get you?

you did get me--but that's probably because I tore my ITBand four weeks before I was going to run in the St. George marathon--that was painful and crappy. So I was freaking out that you had done the same thing, but I'm glad it was a joke. I've got some good stretches for your ITBand though in case it really does hurt. :)
Yeah, yeah, you got me. The whole surgery thing when I know you are training for the SLC 1/2- that would just suck! Glad all is well!
That was a great one.....I love the way you led up to it in your Mar 31st post by saying that you had some hip issues. Very well planned. (Or maybe it just got me because I read them both on the same day!)
I'm glad you're really not injured!
You booger.
you did get me. Funny story and so believable.
It's not even april fools and you totally got me. I'm thinking it was wise I didn't read blogs that day.
I'm reading thinking, "She didn't tell me she went to the doctor. How could she forget to tell me?"
You got me!
