After a little bit of play (making bead necklaces, playing house, playing kitties, playing zoo, playing with the iDog) we ordered 3 pizzas for dinner. The girls were overjoyed with the idea and Mom and I liked it too (so easy).

Ashley knows how to enjoy food!

This was the mess near the back door. The girls all just dropped everything when they walked in, then later tore their backpacks apart finding dancing clothes and other things to change into (Megan-tights, you know what I'm talking about Amy). This was the pile created after I 'picked up' the mess, ha ha, it looked like a closet had exploded.

They had so much fun dancing in Mom's exercise/dance room. For Christmas, she got all the girls tap shoes and Whitney & Bella also got some leotards/outfits. So they looked like they were a little dance troupe or something, all matching and coordinated (except for the dancing part). They pretty much just jump around making alot of noise, except Bella and Whit who are old enough to kind of grasp the dance steps that Nana tries to teach them.

After the dancing, they cleaned up the toys and got into jammies. I had promised them that I would do their nails, so they lined up, oldest to youngest, and all had their nails done.

Bella took this picture of me painting Whitney's nails. She chose black. She said it's Lori's favorite. She also told me that Mom said black is ok as long as it's not a Sunday/church day.

Megan chose a sparkly blue. She was excited to pose for the picture displaying the dazzle.

After nails we popped 3 bags of popcorn and they snuggled down in blankets to watch Sleeping Beauty. They all agreed on it, which was a small miracle as their were some tears from Tess over Madagascar. After the movie we settled them in and it finally got quiet about 9:45.
Friday morning Mom made them all pancakes for breakfast. I was out of it b/c I had a bad night of sleep. Not because of the girls but b/c I have been waking up at night unable to get back to sleep. It's miserable; I have never had the problem before and I am ready to get a Melatonin drip next to my bed. Ugh.

They played dolls and pets all morning, then about noon Mom made a few batches of cookies and the frosting began. If you know my mom, this is a tradition in our family. The kids know Nana for her cookies. It's like the first word they associate with Nana. Cookie.

Here is Bella with her cookies, behind her is the doll and stroller that they've been playing with. Olivia got a set for Christmas with the stoller, crib, highchair, etc. Ashley also got twin babies and a stoller. So it's kept them all very busy.
It's been a fun time for the girls. Olivia is going to want to do this every night, I am sure. I am just glad that we live close enough to do it at all. I love all these cute girls and I am so happy that they are friends with my girls!

Thanks for being brave enough to host all the girls there. It looks like so much fun, especially the dancing while wearing their gear and being in the room full of mirrors.
The messes involved from such a sleepover are what usually do me in, followed closely by the noise, but I'm usually propelled on by the happiness it brings them and their mothers (ha) so thanks again!
That sounds like every little girl's dream come true: dancing, popcorn, a princess movie, and cookies! I think it is so cool that not only are they cousins, but they are friends, too. FUN! I'm trying to picture a boy cousin sleep-over. Somehow I don't know if it could be as sweet. I'm sure there would be some WWE in the mix. :D
sounds like every night at my house :) dancing, painting fingernails, princess movies...what a fun girl party!
I am so glad you are back home and can do things like that with your family. The girls will always remember their sleep overs.
Hope your Christmas was Merry!
I don't think I could ever do it without you here too, Rob. You handle all the activities downstairs and I'm able to do all the stuff upstairs. What a team we are!! Thank you.
