Who out there doesn't love JJ Abrams? He is so good at what he does. If you like Lost, Felicity, Alias, What About Brian, etc then you are a fan of JJ Abrams.
Last night as I was watching What About Brian (first of all stunned because it started out with the caption "Six months later") I was thinking of how much I love all of his shows. Good music, first of all, is what I think of. His shows always have good music. I always loved Alias beacause of it and it's one of the things that first made me want to watch the show. Then I discovered Vaughn/Michael Vartan (ooh!) and Will/Bradley Cooper (double oooh!) Secondly, he has the best cast. The characters are so good. Now, he does like to recycle his people. His best friend, Greg Grunberg (below) has been in almost every one of his projects, including Felicity and Alias. Amanda Foreman (Ivy- What About Brian, Megan-Felicity), Amy Jo Johnson (psycho girl-What About Brian, annoying Julie-Felicity), and Jennifer Garner (Hannah-Felicity, Alias) are a few more.
Last night as I watched What about Brian, I thought, This is better than Grey's Anatomy. WOW, I had to stop myself for a moment. What was I saying? I love Grey's Anatomy. You've got the McDreamy, the McSteamy, all kinds of issues happening, love triangles, etc. But lately (and I agree with what you said before Jamie) the show has been a little too "Desperate Housewives" for me. Now I am sorry if you like D.H. but I am really not a fan, at all. It's just ridiculous if you ask me. If I want that kind of 'drama' I will just watch Days of Our Lives or whatever. Just because it's in a prettier package doesn't make it better quality. It seems like Grey's is sinking to that level and I am not happy about it. It must stop. Please tell me it gets better (those of you who are in the US and have seen almost all of Season 3 by this point). It just seems like the writers have run out of things to write about and it's getting trashy and in my opinion, that's boring. I really never saw this day coming.
However, after Grey's Anatomy is What about Brian. I find it so enjoyable. Thank you JJ Abrams. It's so real. Like the arguements between Deena and David... uh, have they been to my house? Ha. I like how their house looks like a real house that has 3 kids living in it. I like the music (of course), I like the characters and the casting seems perfect. The couples are so believeable. I love how Angelo is always pronouncing things wrong. I can't believe that Brian and Marjorie kissed the night before her wedding (that's the one we just saw). It was funny, Jared is out of town and he sent me a text at the end of the show that said, "I can't believe he kissed her". It made me laugh.
I should be typing the book for Relief Society right now but I just had to post about this. It made me happy yesterday to watch this show. Ugly Betty is funny too. Simple things in life.

First of all, Grey's gets better so don't give up hope and don't compare it to Desperate Housewives!
I love JJ Abrams too for all the same reasons you do. I have watched the entire season of What About Brian on my computer and must say I like it better than the first season (Marjorie was driving me crazy). The one horrific thing of late is that Brian cut his hair! Have you seen him yet? Yikes is all I can say.

Dang, I sick of all the sex with each and every person! The only story I LOVE is the one between Christina and ???, forgot his name and we just watched it two hours ago!! He is so awesome, isn't he?
I haven't really been following What About Brian, but what I have seen I've enjoyed.
Here's a little trivia for you, Matt Davis (who plays Adam) went to high school with my cousin. I think he asked her to prom, or some other school dance but she said no...all he wanted was a little action. Interesting huh?!
I'm going to have to disagree with Jill though, I love Brian's hair short!! But then again, I have a thing for bald men, so the less hair the better!!
I don't have cable but we watch What about Brian on the internet. I love it too. Ugly Betty is a fun one. J.J. Abrahms is pretty talented.
Yes, Grey's does get a little better, but definitely not the same writing as season one (the best, in my opinion.) I really got tired of all of the bed-hopping.
I haven't seen What About Brian, but I'm curious about it now. And that guy, Greg Grunberg, I think he is on Heroes right now. (another addicting show!)

I have to agree Grey's has been going downhill trash-wise. I love JJ Abrams, but I have never seen What About Brian. I guess I'd better check it out! If I'd realized it was JJ Abrams, I would not have delayed...
