So I mentioned songs for my iPod in my previous post earlier today. I hadn't yet read Kristi's blog so I needed to post again once I did. She also mentioned the subject today and was absolutely smothered with suggestions! I have made a new list from those on her blog and can't wait to add them to my Exercise Mix. I need some new inspiration! I added some to her huge list and I thought I would share my input here. If you don't know Kristi, check out her blog for good running songs and for everything else. She is SUPER creative and such a fun mom. I have to admit I sometimes feel like a boring, loser mom when I read her blog. I need therapy, but it does inspire me.
Anyway, here are some songs from my Running mix:
Reel Big Fish- *Come on Eileen*, Sell Out, Trendy
Mighty Bosstones- *Knock on Wood* (I think any Ska music is great b/c it's fast)
Gwen Stefani- Rich Girl
Blues Travelers-Run Around
The Cure- Close to Me, Fridays I'm in Love, Hot Hot Hot
Counting Crows-Accidentally in Love
Keith urban- Better Life, Somebody like you
Alphaville- Techno remix of Forever young
Ace of Base- Beautiful Life (one I could be embarassed about but it's great for running)
Blink 182- All the small things
Jason Mraz- The remedy
Keane- Everybody's Changing
Avril Levigne- In My World
Erasure- Take a Chance on Me
Dixie chicks- Let it Rip
No Doubt- Just a Girl, Spiderwebs
Bananarama-Cool Summer
Lionel Richie- Angel (this is from my husband it's funny but it's actually nice and upbeat, happy)
Third eye Blind- The Middle
Christina Aguilera- Come on Over
Kelly Clarkson- Since You Been Gone
LeAnn Rimes- Can't Fight the Moonlight
Nelly Furtado-Powerless
Pink- Get this Party Started, Don't Let Me Get Me, Stupid Girls, Who Knew
Young Divas- This Time I know it's for Real, What A feeling, Happening All Over Again
Proclaimers- 500 Miles
Ricky Martin- She Bangs
Will Smith- Miami

PLEASE share your favorites so I can compile a great list!

Thanks for the list Rob. I always love getting songs like this that are perfect for running. I'll have to check them out on itunes. I still need to use the GC Lori gave me for christmas.
I'm excited about these lists, thanks for posting your favorites.
I'm no runner, but I am interested in checking out some of these songs! Maybe they can improve my walking performance?
I think your list is great. I posted my songs (which are now on Kristi's side bar) I'll spare you the space. I might have to add a few of yours.
What a great list! I read your previous post. ABC has the whole season of Ugly Betty on their website right now. I have been catching up.
What a great idea. There is nothing like running to good, fast songs. Here is what we have on our MP3 player right now:
Thunderstruck, TNT, For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)- AC/DC [disclaimer--those are Andy's!!!]
Send Me On My Way, Drum Trip- Rusted Root
Sunday Bloody Sunday- U2
Walk This Way -Aerosmith
Two Step, #41, Tripping Billies-Dave Matthews Band
City of Love- Persephone's Bees [I really like this one]
And She Was- Talking Heads
Everything Sucks- Reel Big Fish [I agree, ska music is really good to run to because it is so fast and upbeat.]
The Rascal King- The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Shake It Up- The Cars
Another One Bites the Dust- Queen [my favorite cool down song]
Thanks Robyn. I appreciate your list. I listed a few on Kristi's list. I really like Unwritten and These Words (I Love You, I Love You) by Natasha Bedingfield.
How can you say you feel old and boring about your music taste? This is a pretty fun (& hip) mix. Enjoy your run!
