Today I am doing two things that I really never do...
Drinking Diet Coke- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I really can't stand carbonation and to be honest, I think of it as poison to my system. I seriously drink soda like 3 times a year. But tonight I'm going to see a midnight movie with the girls, so I need the medicinal benefits of the DC, if you catch my drift. Otherwise, I'll be sleeping through the movie! I'm sure the screaming of 16 year old girls wouldn't allow me to sleep anyway... nevertheless, I'm preparing ahead of time. Jared laughed as I asked him to go out and get me this drink this morning b/c I give him so much crap about drinking MD all the time. He was like Satan's little helper, happily running out to the gas station and bringing me back a 32 ouncer. I told him to get me the smallest one and he was like, "Oh no, you really need to go with 32 oz at least. The ice makes up the difference." I told him to add a lot of vanilla so that I could choke it down. So there you go, today I am nursing this baby so that I can party tonight. Evil, I feel so evil.
I'm going to the midnight movie premiere of NM! I haven't even read all the books, I'm just going for fun. I read the first one just to understand what all the hype was about. But really, that was enough Steph M. for me. I commend her for being so successful and for getting so many people reading and into literature. I think that's great. But it is SO Juv Lit. Really. really. I skimmed pages at a time b/c I couldn't take the back and forth of the drama and nothing happening. So I wasn't motivated to read the 2nd and 3rd books. And from what I heard from others, they weren't as good as the 1st anyway. So... that being said... tonight I am just going to hang out with the girls and feel like a teenager again. I can't wait to be entertained by all the silly girls and the grown women wearing tshirts and buttons, etc. I am hoping there's going to be lots of freaks dressed up like vampires and were-panthers (sp?). That will be awesome. In fact, I wasn't planning on taking my camera but I think I will!
There is also going to be a pre-event party at 9 pm with all the girls. It makes me feel like such a kid again to be going to a party and out to a midnight movie! I'm sure I will be seriously paying for this tomorrow... but oh well. I just hope I don't have a hangover from the DC! Ha!

I am going tonight too with Alli and her friends. It should be entertaining. I laughed pretty hard at the people (girls) at the Twilight midnight premiere. Have fun!
Sounds like a fun night ahead for you!! I would go with Diet Dr Pepper (my recreational drug of choice) ;) I suppose I'll end up taking my daughter at some point though the premiere is out of the question since her musical is this weekend. Enjoy the GNO watching cute shirtless young men on the movie screen!
It cracks me up that you're drinking diet Coke for medicinal purposes, also that you're drinking it this early in the day. Shouldn't you be saving that for closer to show time (but not too close since you have a puppy bladder).
I haven't read or seen any of the the Twilight stuff, I don't care.
