It was awesome taking two independent swimmers to the pool. I got to lounge, sun bathe, read my new book, listen to my iPod, etc. Loved it! We stayed until about 4 pm. (Didn't Austin do a good job taking this picture? I said, "ONLY get my face" and he zoomed right in and took a perfect photo)
We might have stayed longer but they had to clear the pool for an hour due to some questionable diaper or something. So we decided to call it quits. On the way home, I stopped and got tickets to the rodeo on Saturday- yee haw. It was my first time going into 'Reams' but not my first rodeo, it's my second.
Later, my dad was having a neighborhood meeting at the house so Jared met us and we all saw Indiana Jones, which was quite enjoyable. I saw many, many emotions cross Austin's face: terror, laughter, fright, sadness, disgust (at the kissing), and much more. He covered his face for a few scenes- one with skeletons and one with kissing! He's at that age...
Anyway, it's time for bed but I just had to post about my fun day. I have alot more to post about from this week b/c Jared's parents and aunt arrived in town on Sunday night, so we've been doing some stuff with them- that will have to come later.

And kudos to Jill for taking on 6 little girls for a sleepover.
How fun to have Jared's family in town--definitely post about your fun times, because we know you will have them!

Jill is really a great aunt, 6 girls age 2 to 8?!?!?! She should get the "aunt of the year award"!

I have said many times this year that it is great that Carly is so independent. Like at the beach, I felt comfortable with her walking back up to the beach house to go to the bathroom or get a popcicle. That makes like a hundred times easier and I only have one. Sounds like a good day.
I love that you took the boys to do fun things while Jill was wrangling the girls!
Oh how I hope that someday my shoulders can fit behind a book... of course you are reading about marathons... I do see the bigger picture I just can't seem to get on the plan.
I can't believe it took an hour to clean out the pool. Somehow that grosses me out more.
So nice of you to get Landon out of the girl frenzy over at Jill's. I think it's too cute when boys get to that embarrassed stage.

I just HAD to come in and say Hello. Just recently, i found out that the world indeed is a small place. A few weeks ago, my kids and I were able to attend a single parent conference in Aspen Grove. Come to find out, one of the nicest ladies that i met there... is a good family friend of yours! I couldnt believe it when Jane mentioned your name. (her and I attended the temple together just about a week ago)Ü Bout fell out of my chair! HOW FUN! It has been fun reading through your blog and catching up on what you guys have been up too! Your family is as adorable as ever!!

I have done several races this year including Salt Lake half, and just recently... the Wasatch Back Relay race!
a full marathon scares me... but i will HAVE to do it at least once... just so that i can say that i did! Ü

oh how exciting to do things with just the boys...and specially their age. That was perfect picture of you in the pool, although with your marathonic body you should be proud to show it. I think it is a good energizer to get some sun and reading in at the pool once in awhile. I had bought Alexei a body suit with floaties built in, but Alf said, he knows how to do it, puting that thing on is only going to make him go backwards...so I was going to return it for about a year now, lost the receipt, etc.,etc., so I just decided to put it on the other day, when we went with the aussie cousins to the disneyland pool, it was nice knowing that I did not have to watch over them constantly.
Sounds like a fun day! Aren't boys great? (I guess I am a little biased because I have to be.)
