New wheels, Springtime, and Blog bookclub

So yesterday was a great day because Jared finally found himself a truck!!!! Woo Hoo!! He has been (supposedly) looking for a truck since we got here... but with Jared you have to know, he is a commitment-o-phobe. He will find something that fits the description, according to the parameters he has set, yet he'll still find something wrong with it, like, it's the wrong color, too many miles, didn't sound right, whatever. He is very frugal so ANY price is really too much in his book, but this truck is an older but well-looked after vehicle with a price tag that didn't intimidate him. He passed it the other day in Lehi and was able to bring himself to go through with it so we're ecstatic! He may need some therapy afterward, but so far so good. He has been getting a ton of jobs lately so he desperately needs a truck. I am so glad that he found one! This also gives me more freedom because it means he isn't taking our car every day.



We loved the weather yesterday. I passed a bank sign that said it was 64 degrees! So nice. I wish it would stick around, but this is Utah, so we know it's going to snow at least a few more times before the REAL spring begins. The kids have been playing outside every day, swinging, riding bikes and scooters. It's wonderful. I just love my parents big backyard. The view is beautiful. The kids can run out and play while I keep an eye on them from the kitchen. I feel totally safe and comfortable letting them go out (even Ashley) because it's far from the road and they are enclosed in the fence, etc. Loving that.





Last night I was happy to get out and go to our Blogger Book Club at Ann's office in Provo. We got to use the company condo for our get together. I don't know if it was because of Kelly's birthday or what, but we had great food last night! Usually we all just bring a plate of whatever, but last night was exceptionally good. Amy brought strawberries and cream, Ann made a fantastic southwest queso-type dip, Lori made adorable birthday cupcakes, Annalisa brought hummus and chips, I made spinach salad, Diana brought Girl Scout cookies, Marj brought a beautiful veggie platter, Hannah brought homemade bread and butter, Kelly brought berries and Nutella, and Chloe brought Robin Eggs. It was so good, we all just stuffed ourselves silly and had a good time chatting. Our book review was for "Suite Francaise" chosen by Chloe. Apparently it wasn't a big hit with the group b/c only 2 of us finished it (not including Chloe, funny enough!) Oh well, we all talked for hours and had a good laugh.





Speaking of a good laugh... I don't know how we got on the subject but you know, you get a bunch of women together- who knows what you might talk about? Well, we got to talking about what exactly the hymen is (you know, like the body part) and where it is and what it does, etc. etc. It was so hilarious. Before you know it, Ann was trying to logon to the computer in the other room to get it on Wikpedia and finally Amy pulled out her iFone and looked it up for us. It was a crack up. She found some kind of illustration (which I personally didn't want to see!) and everyone was crowding around to have a look. (I took a photo of this but it didn't turn out) It was so funny. So, we all left a little more educated than when we came! Ha.



Anyway, it was lots of fun. We realized that we should have also celebrated Marj, Diana, and Amy's birthdays since they were all within the past few weeks, but since it was Kelly's actual day yesterday, she got to be the honored guest. We remembered to take a group photo just as we were leaving around midnight (sorry Diana and Chloe who were already gone). Annalisa, with her go-go Gadget arms, took this shot.
