Achy and sore

Can you believe it? I think I have lateral epidondylitis. That's what I get for going to work with my husband on Thursday. He is working on a house in North Orem, redoing the basement. It's a big job and three of the rooms had wallpaper that he had to steam and rip down, so he's a little behind schedule. Out of the goodness of my heart, I went to help him the other day. Now I am regretting it! I woke up with such a sore elbow! For those of you who are confused, lateral epicondylitis is also known as "Tennis Elbow". My arm is so sore. Maybe it didn't help that it was my gimpy arm I was using to paint and sand. It's the right elbow that I broke in two places when I was 6 and still has a deformity since they didn't set it right. (thanks doctors!) Well I am sure it will be fine (I assume it will be anyway) since I won't be doing any more of that kind of work! Sorry Jared. I am claiming disability on this one. Do you provide any workers comp? I might have to take this to court. I am feeling a lot of emotional distress over this one. What kind of insurance do you have? Ha ha.

This morning Jared went for a run with me. I am trying to increase my distances and I knew that he would push me a long and motivate me. Although, when he said "we're just getting started" at one point, it didn't really help. We made it through the hills (there are a lot out here) and I pushed myself the best I could. Then, as we got close to home, he said, "Ok, now that is just a little less than a fourth of a marathon". I was thinking, "How is this helping?!" No, just kidding. I do appreciate you going with me, Jared, and for running at my pace, not yours, because I would have collapsed had we done that. I just need to keep working on these longer distances. I can do 3 miles, no problem, but I need to work up to 8 miles or so before I can feel comfortable doing a half marathon. We enjoyed coming home and mapping our new route on the computer using the Garmin software. It showed our elevation (about 5000 feet) and our speed, etc.

We're off to help Lori paint her apartment and do some Saturday errands. I wish Ashley had cooperated and taken a nap this morning. Hopefully she will be in good form. I will need the binkie, blanket, and lots of food.

Glad to hear you like the Garmin. I got Kim the Garmin Forerunner 50 for Valentine's day. I just ordered it yesterday so it should make it in plenty of time.

Sorry about your gimpy elbow, it didn't affect your game night performance at all.

I'm impressed with all your running. Maybe Jared isn't the best running partner for you, ha.

Yay, I'm so happy for you and Jared running together. I always loved it because Andy didn't have his cell phone and I didn't have 3 kids hanging off my arm. You guys are awesome! Just stay consistent and it will get easier, I promise. You can do it!!!!!!
