Today is my sister Jill's 35th birthday! Well, actually it was yesterday for me but it's still Sunday in Utah, so it's today...
Jill is 4 years older than me and was always my idol growing up. I wanted to be just like her. She was pretty and popular and very talented. She was in dance, cheerleading, soccer, track, student council, etc. She was always on the Prom/Homecoming court, she had a million friends, she was fun, and she dressed cute. I was such a pesky younger sister. I always wanted to borrow her clothes, records and other miscellaneous items. She has never forgiven me for scratching her FAME record when I was in 2nd grade. I took it without asking and of course I left my mark. I don't blame her for being annoyed. When I came out to BYU, somewhat unwillingly, she let me live with her and helped me to transition into Provo life. She helped me out a lot a few years later when I had a very sad breakup with a longtime boyfriend. I remember calling her at 3 am that night. There are very few people I feel I could call in the middle of the night. I was so grateful for her support and she totally helped me to see the blessings in the experience.
Things I love about Jill:
She gives great presents
She makes delicious food when there is a party or gathering
She passes on coupons she knows you would like
She is always courteous to other people; like not making noise when someone is sleeping, driving in a respectable manner, and keeping her shopping cart out of people's way or on the 'right' side of the aisle.
She has funny commentary about Costco
She takes amazing photographs
She is an avid reader and can always recommend great books
She has a craft room to die for. I am lucky to access it occasionally.
She offers to babysit my kids without my even asking
She loves flowers and has a beautiful garden
and last but not least she has endured me for 31 years as a younger sister. Not always easy!

That's a terrifying picture, either crop my chin immediately or put up a really old picture of me. Double yikes!!
Okay, now I've read what you wrote and that was all very nice. Thanks Robon. But really, it's my birthday, must I see my chins?
Sorry, Jill. that is the only photo I could find today. I don't have a scanner or I would have put some fun photos from our childhood. Please forgive me, it's the thought that counts!

So sweet, Robyn. I remembered one more thing I forgot to say about Jill: she re-organizes things in stores when she goes shopping (puts everything back where it belongs, even when other shoppers got things out of place). It cracks me up.
